New Luxury Apartments in Leeds
Aspen Woolf, a property investment firm, has opened Sky Gardens, the new luxury apartment skyscraper in Leeds set to become “the new icon on the city skyline” to future residents.
The new 32-story luxury apartment skyscraper will dominate the skyline in Leeds’s South Bank, reaching 101 metres into the sky. It is being designed by award-winning architects to provide “a level of luxury living that has no equal in Leeds” which will “tower over the city”.
Sky Gardens will become one of the tallest buildings in Yorkshire and the residential tower will offer the first all-year round rooftop sky garden in Leeds, offering 360° views of the city. It will provide residents with a breath-taking view of the city centre and beyond.
It would also parallel the proposed New York style High Line set to be built on the Holbeck Viaduct.
Developers Citylife say that many of the uniquely styled apartments are being designed in response to the new post-pandemic world. After a year locked inside homes, many people are already starting to look for outside space to achieve the ultimate luxury when working from home. The private roof terrace symbolises an awe-inspiring alternative to a garden, with a unique view of the Leeds skyline. Growing trends of working- from-home will also see Sky Gardens offer residents their own sizeable private workspaces and gyms for leisure.
The tower will hold 306 luxurious 1-, 2- & 3-bed apartments, and will offer residents their own workspaces, lounge, private gym, concierge, and car parking club.
Due to open in the 2024, sales in Sky Gardens will officially open in the coming months, but Aspen Woolf are currently taking pre-launch reservations to enable early bird investors to secure access with just a 20 per cent deposit. Apartments will start from £145,000.
The development is being built on the original Midland Mills location, which is perhaps one of the most important industrial heritage sites in Leeds city centre. It has a huge amount of history as it was the previous site of a 200-year-old flax mill, a Grade II listed building that was key to Leeds’s manufacturing heritage.
Sky Gardens will see the full refurbishment of the Midland Mills and the creation of an iconic residential tower, dubbed as a “wonderful development, pairing the new with the old”.
Sky Gardens offers one of the only opportunities to secure luxury property in the Leeds South Bank regeneration project, where most new sites are being snapped up by big investment funds and institutions.
