With an economy worth £23.2bn, Birmingham’s GVA is the highest of any city outside of London. As a center for business, global companies such as HSBC, Deutsche Bank, and PwC have set up offices in the city. Birmingham is also due to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games, firmly demonstrating its global appeal.

Birmingham is also Europe’s youngest city, with 45.7% of its population estimated to be under the age of 30. Five universities and two university colleges are home to around 65,000 students. There is a huge rental demand among students and young professionals in this city.
