Morgan Sindall Secure Contract For £31m Leeds Residential Apartment Scheme

UK construction company, Morgan Sindall, has secured a new contract with Leeds-based property development company Citylife to deliver a luxury £31m residential apartment scheme in Leeds.

Following a four-month pre-construction service agreement, Morgan Sindall, one of the UK’s largest construction companies (£1,559m annual turnover) will begin by delivering Citylife’s £31m luxury Leeds residential apartment development, Springwell Gardens.

Morgan Sindall’s 24-month contract with Citylife will see the construction company deliver Springwell Gardens. The project will be built close to the centre of Leeds, consisting of 16 storeys and 223 one, two, and three-bedroom residential apartments.

The construction project is due to be finalised by 2023 and is on the doorstep of the Leeds Southbank Holbeck Regeneration Project – the largest city centre regeneration plan in Europe.

Property investment firm Aspen Woolf have already sold out over 60% of the apartments and will be working in conjunction with both Morgan Sindall and Citylife. The building is being designed by the multi-award-winning Nick Brown Architects and will offer roof terraces with skyline views and private courtyards.

A ground-breaking event for Springwell Gardens took place this week to celebrate the start of the construction project.

Mark Lazenby, project director at Morgan Sindall Construction, said: “We’re so pleased to have started construction work at Springwell Gardens, which will be a valuable addition to the residential offer in the heart of Leeds. We are making a valuable contribution to the future of Leeds to the benefit of people at every stage of their life and expands our footprint throughout Leeds.”
